88   2009  Valle Reale  Montepulciano d'Abruzzo  Cerasuolo  7/20/10 ($10)

  12.5% alc
Color: Medium salmon. (3.0) Bouquet: Very good mineral and subtle strawberry. Light and clean. (2.5) Body: Has some viscosity that coats the mouth with excellent acidity and very good fruit. Lively middleweight. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but shows more forceful minerality and some tart cherry in with the subtle strawberry. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor, but less elegant. Minerality lingers. (2.5)
Overall: Light and refreshing with lively minerality and subtle strawberry and cherry fruit. Also has excellent viscosity in the mouth. More clean and flavorful than most rosé in this price range. Can be drunk by itself or with food. Don't serve too cold, say 50 degrees. Excellent value.
