Color: Deep black garnet. (3.0) Bouquet: Dark chocolate, black cherry and a little coffee grounds. (2.5) Body: Light heavyweight with very good fruit, acidity and some tannin. Coats mouth somewhat. (3.0) Flavor: Black licorice, chocolate, cherries and coffee. (2.5) Finish: Parallels flavor, but could be longer and more intense. (2.5)
Overall: Excellent value. Shows a lot of character, body and weight for the price. Very tasty now and showing some bottle age, but could still improve in the next couple of years. (13.5)
