13.5%alc blend of Cabernet, Syrah and Merlot
Color: Deep black cherry. (3.0) Bouquet: Candy apple, very ripe blackberry/cassis and some alcohol. (2.5) Body: Solid middleweight with very good fruit, but too candied with sugar, acidity and alcohol sticking out. Still, it coats the mouth nicely. (2.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet with candied fruit flavors. (2.5) Finish: Parallels flavor with some heat. (2.5)
Overall: Very good weight, body and fruit, but it's overripe, with alcohol and a touch of residual sugar sticking out. It's solid for the price, but not my cup of tea and definitely not food friendly. (13.0)
