Color: Medium deep garnet. (3.0) Bouquet: Dried cherries, fresh mint and sweet basil. Very smooth, but has structure. (3.0) Body: Middleweight with good acidity and tannin supporting very good fruit and complexity. (3.0) Flavor: Tasty, but less interesting than the bouquet. (2.5) Finish: Parallels bouquet. (3.0)
Overall: Very charming, food-friendly wine with its sweet basil and mint nuances complementing dried cherries and a bit of terroir and chalky tannins. It requires an hour of air for it to become more fruit forward and nuanced. Drink now and in the next 2-3 years. (14.5)
