92 1985 Taylor – Fladgate Vintage Port 1/2/05 ($80)
Full-bodied, sweet and rich. It is just starting to smooth out with plenty of life and kick to it. Still has young sweetness in the mouth and alcohol bite in the finish making it a little austere, but also starting to show complexity. Excellent now, but should improve with 5-10 years more bottle age. Smoothed out some after a few days in decanter.
