89   2004  Taurino   Notarpanaro   Salento  9/12/11 ($18)

   13% alc
Color: Deep brick red. (3.0) Bouquet: Dried cherries, tangy black licorice and a little clay. (3.0) Body: Solid middleweight with excellent fruit and acidity. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, with some interesting Madeira flavors. (3.0) Finish: Not as distinctive as the flavor. Also a little thin. (2.5)
Overall: Very good to excellent Negroamaro with interesting Madeira and black licorice flavors complementing the dried cherry fruit. Could use a bit more structure, but balanced, tasty and very food friendly. (14.5)
