After a long first day with much driving, we had an excellent meal at Syrah in Santa Rosa, not far from where we were staying. I had a minerally Spanish Albarino with oysters, which I found very refreshing at the end of a tasting day, followed by some outstanding, homemade gnocchi in an onion broth, really different and delicious. Scott had salmon and Rafik had red meat. We ordered a bottle of 2009 Copain, "Les Voisins" Syrah, Yorkville Highlands. Very good, but we still had Kalin on our minds.
