Tasting Notes

90   2008  Siduri  Chehalem Mtns  Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)  10/3/10 ($30)

  13.0% alc
Color: Medium deep black cherry. (3.0) Bouquet: Elegant, rich black cherry, tart cola and a hint of mint. (3.0) Body: Solid middleweight with excellent fruit and acidity. Charming now, but with enough acidity-based structure to improve in the next 2-3 years. (3.0) Flavor: Rich, tart and elegant. Parallels bouquet step-for-step. Pretty and very enjoyable. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor, but not as rich. Tart cherry lingers. (3.0)
Overall: A classy Oregon Pinot with aromatic black cherry propelled by elegant, tart acidity. Really well done. Has elegance and acidity for the Burgundy lover and enough richness in the fruit for the CA Pinot drinker. Excellent now, but could improve in the next 2-3 years. (15.0)
