91   2002 Serafin  Gevrey-Chambertin Vielles Vignes    11/21/11 ($50)

  13% alc
Color: Medium deep framboise with very slight browning. (3.0) Bouquet: Cola, black cherry, raspberry, veal broth and autumn leaves. (3.5) Body: Solid middleweight plus with excellent acidity and fruit and some tannin underneath. Lively mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but not quite as interesting or giving. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor with a long tang. (3.0)
Overall: Top notch village wine with excellent aromatics and complexity along with racy acidity. The fruit may get sweeter in the next 2-3 years, but drinking very well right now. (15.5)
