Color: Very deep purple garnet. (3.5) Bouquet: Oily tar, blackberries, white chalk and mineral. (3.0) Body: Rich mouthfeel with excellent fruit, acidity and mineral. (3.0) Flavor: More restrained than bouquet, but still tasty. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor, but more closed with a little acidic bite. (2.5)
Overall: Excellent minerality and concentrated Syrah character, but also has some elegance. Rich, coating mouthfeel. A little closed at present, particularly in the finish, which has a slight acidic bite. Should improve in the next 2-5 years. Decant for now drinking. Outstanding value. (15)
