Color: Deep black garnet. (3.0) Bouquet: Loads of concentrated, sweet blackberry preserves with rich mocha and a touch of cedar. (3.5) Body: Heavyweight with excellent fruit, acidity and smooth tannins. Tangy mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet with more coffee nuances and some briary spice. (3.5) Finish: Fine, but shows a touch of bitterness from tannin. (3.0)
Overall: Excellent warm climate Syrah with loads of concentrated, sweet blackberry preserves, mocha and briary spice with a touch of cedar. Drinking very well now, but has enough tannin, such that it might improve in the next 2-4 years. (16.0)
