Young with fruit that is still slightly grapey, but delicious, spicy and perfectly balanced. Blackberry and cassis flavors are prevalent. It has the size and staying power of the last few vintages of SS, yet has more fruit and smoother tannins. This is the best young SS in memory and I expect it to be even better in 2-3 years, but it’s so good now, why wait.
