Color: Deep black cherry to garnet. (3.0) Bouquet: Spicy cherry cola fruit with interesting nuances of roor beer and wet leaves. Elegant. (3.5) Body: Solid middleweight plus with a silky mouthfeel. Excellent fruit and acidity. Just enough tannins underneath that are totally smoothed out. (3.5) Flavor: Delicious and just as expressive as the bouquet. (3.5) Finish: Parallels flavor with excellent length, but not quite as intense. (3.5)
Overall: A gorgeous cool climate Syrah with outstanding complexity (root beer and wet leaves nuances) and lush black cherry cola fruit. Probably at its best right now, but should hold a couple of more years. (17)
