Color: Black garnet, particularly deep for Chinon. (3.0) Bouquet: Roasted acorn squash, radish and beef broth complement rich cassis fruit. (3.0) Body: Excellent acidity with very good fruit and tannin. Solid middleweight. Coats mouth nicely. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but slightly more restrained. (3.0) Finish: Parallels bouquet, coming on strong again with outstanding length. Vegetable and cassis flavors go on and on.

Overall: A classic Chinon with impressive concentration to the radish, green pepper and squash flavors combined with cassis fruit. Also has excellent acidity, smooth tannins and minerality. Outstanding stuff and a great value. (15.5)
