Tasting Notes

88+   2008  Thierry et Pascale Matrot  Bourgogne Blanc   6/4/10 ($16)

     12.5% alc
Color: Medium gold. (3.0) Bouquet: Sliced red apple and crisp minerality. Fruit is pure and elegant. (3.0) Body: Middleweight with very good fruit and minerality. (2.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet. (3.0) Finish: Parallels bouquet with minerality lingering, but could be more concentrated. (2.5)
Overall: A very good white Burgundy. Not as concentrated and minerally as the outstanding '07, but still an excellent example of Bourgogne Blanc at a very reasonable price. (14)
