Tasting Note

92     1995 Chateau Lynch-Bages      11/18/06 ($50)
13.0% alc

Color: Deep garnet with good onion skin. Looks very healthy, deep and ready. (3.0) Bouquet: Beautifully sweet cassis and black ink. Very Pauillac with a little spicy gravel thrown in. (3.5) Body: Solid middleweight + with smooth, mouth-coating tannins, terroir and fruit, combined with lively acidity. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but not as rich or sweet. (3.0) Finish: Parallels bouquet step-for-step. Long and classy. (3.5)
Overall: A delicious Pauillac. Not a great L-B, but an excellent one. This showed much better than the last bottle of this I had a year ago. This is more like what I expected from this wine based upon drinking it in its youth. (16.0)
