Rich mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Sweet, racy black cherry and black raspberry fruit show wonderful concentration. Delicious. (3.5) Finish: Fruit and complexity meld here emitting sweet and tangy red and black licorice flavors. Spice also lingers. (3.5)
Overall: This is a beautiful Carignan blend, showing funky clay and root beer nuances combined with delicious black cherry and black raspberry fruit. Excellent acidity combines with the fruit to make it racy. Also has outstanding concentration and elegance. This may get more complex with a few years bottle age, but no need to wait. Delicious, interesting and food friendly. Outstanding value too.
