90+   2007  Las Rocas Viñas Viejas    6/12/10 ($15)

     14.5% alc
Color: Deep black cherry. (3.0) Bouquet: Very ripe black cherry with excellent acidity and some spice. (3.0) Body: Excellent fruit and acidity. Solid middleweight plus. Coats mouth nicely. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but acidity is a little chalky and fierce. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor with briary spice more pronounced. Excellent length. (3.0)
Overall: Outstanding Grenache in a very ripe style with excellent acidity and delicious black cherry fruit. Drinks a lot like a single vineyard Zin from Sonoma costing $30+, but with juicy Grenache fruit. Amazing value! (15.0)
