Tasting Note

95+  2002  Jean Boillot  Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles  4/10/15  ($65)

13.5% alc
Color: Bright gold. (3.0) Bouquet: Intense minerality with pretty sweet/tart lemon fruit and subtle nuances of hazelnuts and almonds. (3.5) Body: Light heavyweight with fantastic acidity/minerality and bright/lively fruit. Rich, silky mouthfeel. (4.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet. Elegant and delicious, but intense at the same time. (3.5) Finish: Parallels flavor, but not as expressive. Still long and tasty. (3.0)
Overall: A great single vineyard Puligny-Montrachet. It's been a long time since I've had a mature white Burgundy that's this good. I had almost forgotten how much I love them when they're singing like this. (17.0)
