Color: Deep black cherry with slight browning. (3.0) Bouquet: Wet leaves and pistachio with rich black cherry fruit. Elegant with a pretty vanilla nuance. (3.5) Body: Light heavyweight with excellent fruit and acidity. Tangy, silky mouthfeel. (3.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but not quite as interesting. (3.0) Finish: Could be more persistent. (3.0)
Overall: A very tasty Bonnes Mares with excellent black cherry to red raspberry fruit complemented by wet leaves and nuances of vanilla and pistachio. I'd like to see a bit more complexity, but a solid excellent nonetheless. Still on the early side of peak, so could improve in the next 3-5 years(15.0)
