Color: Deep raspberry to black cherry with some browning at the rim, but no clearing. (3.0) Bouquet: Pretty, sweet, sappy, mature raspberry and black cherry fruit complemented by nuances of wet leaves and subtle Indian spices. Delicious and very forward. (3.5) Body: Solid middleweight to light heavyweight with a silky/tangy mouthfeel. Outstanding fruit and excellent acidity. (3.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet with outstanding fruit concentration, Mineral and subtle spice keep it interesting. Oh, so eay to drink! (3.5) Finish: Long with the expressive fruit going on and on. (3.5)
Overall: Classic Chambolle with great elegance, yet persistent, and concentrated in flavor. The sweet raspberry and black cherry fruit is spell-binding and attractingly sappy. Nuances of wet leaves and subtle Indian spices make it interesting. Tangy mineral keeps it very light on its feet, making it oh, so easy to drink. Drink now and in the next couple of years. (17)
