Color: Deep black cherry. (3.0) Bouquet: Red raspberry, blueberry and a touch of strawberry, backed by acidity. Elegant with outstanding aromatics, showing spicy/herbal old vines complexity, but a little reserved at present. (3.0) Body: Solid middleweight that's perfectly balanced, fruit/mineral/ acidity, with a silky mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Minerals and acidity propel berry fruit with an interestingly subtle herbal component. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor with length. (3.0)
Overall: What elegance and complexity for the price! It also has delicious berry fruit in a restrained package. This could improve with a few years bottle age. A very fine example of old vines Carignan. (15.0)
