Tangy red grapefruit and melon fruit with bright acidity and a little spicy oak adding complexity. Good varietal character with California ripeness and richness. Not as crisp and grassy as a Loire, New Zealand or South African SB, but still lively and shows multilayered fruit. A little bitterness in the finish. This wine is a consistent value in California SB.
