Color: Deep garnet. (3.0) Bouquet: Crushed nuts and forestal nuances complement tangy red and black cherry. Lively. (3.5) Body: Light heavyweight with excellent acidity, fruit and smooth tannins underneath. Silky/tangy mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, very tangy in the mouth. (3.5) Finish: Forestal nuances linger beautifully. Long, but fruit is a little restrained at present. (3.0)
Overall: An excellent example of Rancia (Felsina's single vineyard Riserva). It is a little restrained in fruit, but the complexity and elegance are strong. Should improve with 3-5 more years bottle age. (16.0)
