Tasting Note

91       2005 Gary Farrell RRV Chardonnay         11/13/07 ($28)

14.2% alc
Color: Medium gold with a touch of green (3.0) Bouquet: Canteloupe, green pea and lemon with bright acidity, also some oak in the background (3.5) Body: Well balanced with excellent fruit and acidity. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but more restrained. (3.0) Finish: Parallels bouquet, but less complex with some tart buttered rum. (3.0)
Overall: An outstanding RRV Chardonnay with elegance and complex nuances. Similar in style to their P.N., being both subtle and interesting, particularly for CA. This could definitely improve in the next 1-3 years. (15.5)
