Tasting Note

89   2006 Domaine Dupré  Régnié Vielles Vignes  Haute Ronze  8/30/09 ($18)

  12.5% alc
Color: Medium purple cherry. (3.0) Bouquet: Strawberries and game. Very aromatic with some elegance. (3.0) Body: Middleweight with excellent fruit and acidity. Coats the mouth somewhat. (2.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet. (3.0) Finish: Again, parallels bouquet. Very lively with just a little acidity sticking out. (3.0)
Overall: Very lively stuff that's a joy to drink and food-friendly too. Gamy complexity and minerally terroir are compelling. A serious Cru Beaujolais for early drinking. (14.5)
