Color: Deep yellow straw to gold. (3.5) Bouquet: Iodine, quince and beeswax. (3.0) Body: Heavyweight with excellent fruit and acidity. Youthfully astringent mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet. Shows some youthful astrigency. (3.0) Finish: Long and tangy, best part! (3.5)
Overall: Young and austere, but also shows impressive fruit concentration (Beeswax, quince, iodine) and structure. Quality-wise I'd say it's as good as the '09 Clos du Papillon, but needs time to shine. An outstanding food wine even now, with balance and cutting acidity. (16.0)
