Tasting Note

92+   2010  Dehlinger  Goldridge Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley)   1/20/13 ($45)

   14.9% alc
Color: Medium deep purple black cherry. (3.0) Bouquet: Tart/sweet black cherry to raspberry with mineral, creme brulee, violets and lavender. (3.5) Body: Solid middleweight plus with a silky/tangy mouthfeel, excellent fruit and acidity. (3.5) Flavor: Fierce acidity gives it a slightly austere edge, but still delicious. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor with spicy cola lingering for 30+ seconds. (3.0)
Overall: Racy acidity on a lean frame with distinctive fruit. Ageworthy. Its precise tart black cherry and raspberry fruit are delicious. Can be drunk now, but will likely improve with 4-6 years bottle age. Spicy cola lingers with intensity in the finish. (16.0)
