Color: Deep black cherry to ruby. (3.0) Bouquet: Black raspberry and bittersweet cherry combine with sweet anise and leather nuances. (3.5) Body: Solid middleweight to light heavyweight with excellent fruit, acidity and smooth tannins. Silky/tangy mouthfeel that coats. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet step-for-step. Delicious. (3.5) Finish: Not quite as concentrated as the flavor, but still long and tasty. (3.0)
Overall: A silky, mouthcoating RRV Syrah with excellent acidity-driven structure. Nuances of sweet anise and leather combine with pure black raspberry and bittersweet cherry fruit. Delicious. Drink now and in the next 2-3 years. (16)
