Color: Deep raspberry to black cherry. (3.0) Bouquet: Ripe black raspberry and tart cherry with elegant cooking herbs. Interesting and elegant. (3.0) Body: Solid middleweight with excellent fruit and acidity. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but more expressive with lively minerality. (3.5) Finish: Parallels with minerals lingering. (3.5)
Overall: One of the best Nero d'Avola/Frappato blends I've tasted. The combo of minerality, sweet/tart fruit and subtle herbs is very compelling. (16.5)
