Color: Deep purple ruby. (3.5) Bouquet: Subtle cooking herbs and balsamic nuances complement black raspberries and cherries. Restrained, but concentrated. (3.0) Body: Light Heavyweight with excellent fruit, acidity and tannins. Very well balanced and ageworthy with a tangy mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Fruit is more open, sweet and delicious than the bouquet. (3.5) Finish: Game and briar lingers. Tart, youthful chalky acidity and a touch of bitterness hold it back at present. (3.0)
Overall: Delicious, serious stuff with excellent minerality and purity to the black raspberry and black cherry fruit. Needs 3-5 years to totally open, smooth and gain more elegance. Outstanding potential. (16)
