Color: Medium yellow. (3.0) Bouquet: White and yellow flowers and pollen. A bit of honey with lime and spice. Excellent varietal character. (3.0) Body: Middleweight with very good fruit, mineral and lively tartness. (2.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but slightly hollow in the mid-palate. (2.5) Finish: Parallels bouquet. Could be more concentrated, but the varietal character, pollen and dried spice really linger. (3.0)
Overall: Very good Gewurz, with clean fruit. Lively, with lime and honey. At 14.0% alcohol, it does have a fruit sweetness to it, but no residual sugar. The pollen and spice really linger. If it were just a little more focused in the mid-palate it would be excellent. Still, a very good value. Don't serve too cold (about 50°F). (14.0)
