Tasting Note

90  2007 Francois Chidaine  Les Argiles  Vouvray    12/4/11 ($25)

100%CheninBlanc   13.5% alc
Color: Light gold. (3.0) Bouquet: Pretty, elegant mineral, light honey with pollen and poached pear. A bit restrained. (2.5) Body: Solid middleweight with excellent mineral, fruit and acidity. (3.0) Flavor: Pollen-infusion and tangy acidity turn on more here. (3.0) Finish: Ginger-like spice and acidity propel the fruit for a long time here. (3.5)
Overall: Less concentrated than the '09, but pretty and elegant nonetheless, with mineral and acidity propelled pollen, honey and poached pear flavors. Also picks up ginger-like spice in the finish. Fine. (15)
