Color: Deep yellow hay to gold. Has density. (3.5) Bouquet: Rich, waxy pear with elegant flowery and minerally nuances. (3.0) Body: Light heavyweight with outstanding fruit concentration and acidity. Rich mouthfeel that coats like butter, yet tangy. (3.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but much more pretty with pure, sweet pear to the fore. (3.5) Finish: Long and intense with flower nuances lingering. (3.5)
Overall: Another outstanding Clos Habert, right up there with the '08, '10, but not quite as sweet, only slightly off-dry. Shows impressive flavor concentration and minerally elegance, but needs time for the fierce acidity to calm and the waxy pear and flowery nuances to become more pretty. (17)
