Tasting Note

88+  2009  Domaine de Chevilly  Quincy (Yves & Antoine Lestourgie)   12/10/10 ($15)

   12.5%alc
Color: Medium straw yellow. (3.0) Bouquet: Ripe green apple, grass and peas with excellent acidity and hints of pear and mineral. (2.5) Body: Excellent acidity and fruit. Solid middleweight. Could coat more. (2.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet with a rich mid-palate. Ripe for the Loire, tending towards NZ Sauv.Blanc in style, but does show Loire minerality. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor with more grass prevalent. (3.0)
Overall: Very good Loire Sauv.Blanc from a ripe vintage. Shows a lot of grass, green apple, pear and green pea flavors with some Loire minerality. Excellent for the price. (14.0)
