Tasting Note

90  2002 Chateau de Chasseloir Muscadet Sevre et Maine  8/22/03 ($9)

Color: Healthy light yellow. Muscadet is never deep in color. (3.0) Bouquet: Very attractive lemon essence, with a complex medley of flowers, minerals, goat cheese and gray clay. (3.0) Body: Very well balanced with lively acidity and a lot of fruit for a Muscadet. (3.0) Flavor: Deliciously refreshing and crisp with fresh flowers, sea salt and a touch of pineapple. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor with good length, but not heavy. (3.0)
Overall: A beautiful, classic Muscadet with interesting nuances and good fruit. What a shellfish wine! (15.0)
