85% Merlot, 15% Carmenère
Color: Deep purple garnet. (3.0) Bouquet: Tannin and cedar complement tangy black raspberry, dried blackberry and elegant eucalyptus with a touch of sulfur. (3.0) Body: Excellent tannins that are slightly fierce, but met by excellent fruit, but needs time to integrate. (3.0) Flavor: Leather and some game complement the fruit and tannins. A bit austere at present. (2.5) Finish:Long and intense, but tannins add some bitterness. (3.0)
Overall: Spicy, firm tannins and the black raspberry/black cherry fruit to meet. Has a firm St. Estephe-like style. Also shows subtle eucalyptus and game. I like its structure and intensity. (14.5)
