Color: Dense purple ruby. (3.5) Bouquet: Sweet tar, blackberry jam, blood orange, anise and subtle cooking spices. Wow. (3.5) Body: Heavyweight with an outstandingly viscous, yet silky/tangy mouthfeel. Excellent fruit, acidity and smooth tannins. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, very tangy in the mouth. (3.5) Finish: Long, but needs time to sweeten. (3.0)
Overall: Already outstanding, but will benefit from 4-6 years bottle age to integrate and smooth. Shows an impressive potourri of sweet tar, blackbery jam, blood orange, anise and subtle cooking spices. (16.5)
