92+   2011  Carlisle   The Derivative (Sonoma Valley)   10/16/17  ($25)

66% Semillon (Monte Rosso), 24% Muscatelle (Pagani Ranch), 10% Palomino (Saitone Ranch)   13.7% alc 240cases
Color: Bright silver-yellow straw. (3.0) Bouquet: Honeydew, litchi nut and tart pear fruit with lively acidity. (3.0) Body: Light heavyweight with excellent acidity and fruit. Tangy and rich in the mouth. (3.5) Flavor: Fruit is more expressive and distinctive here. Delicious. (3.5) Finish: Parallels flavor, but shows a little bitterness. Still long and tasty. (3.0)
Overall: A serious Semillon blend with lively energy, precise fruit and outstanding structure. A light heavyweight that stands up to food very well, but can also be drunk on its own. Drink now and in the next few years. (16.0)
