Color: Medium deep garnet. (3.0) Bouquet Cigarbox and smooth stewed cherry fruit. (3.0) Body: Middleweight with excellent acidity and very good fruit. Smooth tangy mouthfeel. (2.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet with smooth, mature fruit and elegance. (3.0) Finish: Smooth and pretty, but a little light and short. (2.5)
Overall: Very good Tuscan character balanced with mature fruit, but a little light in body. The finish is also a little weak. I'm surprised that this doesn't have more oomph based on other vintages I've had and considering that it also has Cabernet in the blend. Maybe storage wasn't perfect causing it to age more quickly? Hard to say since I did not taste this when young. Still smooth, enjoyable and easy to drink now. (14.0)
