Color: Deep black cherry. (3.0) Bouquet: Maraschino cherries and tart blackberries, slightly candied with excellent acidity and earthiness underneath. Nuances of iron, mineral, bacon, game and anise. (3.0) Body: Solid middleweight with excellent fruit and acidity. Rich, tangy mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but more rustic. (3.0) Finish: Richer than the flavor with length. (3.0)
Overall: Racy and rustic, showing plenty of lively maraschino cherry and blackberry fruit with funky earth, iron, game and anise. Excellent acidity and some minerality lift up the fruit, keeping it lively and tangy. Outstanding value. (15)
