89  2009 Jean-Marc Burgaud  Morgon  Cote du Py   10/9/11 ($18)

13% alc
Color: Deep purple black cherry to garnet. (3.0) Bouquet: Restrained black raspberry with white chalk and briar. (2.5) Body: Excellent mineral, acidity, fruit and some tannin. Light heavyweight. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet, but more open with sweeter fruit. Still compact, needing time. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor. Mineral and tangy fruit linger. (3.0)
Overall: This is big for Beaujolais. Concentrated mineral and very good fruit with excellent structure. Needs time (2-5 years) for the black raspberry fruit to blossom, but goes well with food even now. (14.5)
