Color: Medium deep bright gold. (3.0) Bouquet: Excellent mineral, tart pear and apple fruit with elegant herbal nuances and a touch of nutmeg. (3.0) Body: Solid middleweight plus with outstanding balance of mineral acidity and fruit. Full, tangy mouthfeel, yet very crisp. (3.5) Flavor: Parallels bouquet with minerality turning on even more. (3.5) Finish: Not quite as distinctive as the flavor at this point, but mineral intensity and elegant fruit linger. (3.0)
Overall: This is a beauty with impressive character and intensity that equals many top notch village wines from the Cote de Beaune. An amazing value! Outstanding mineral intensity complements tart apple and pear fruit with interesting baking spice and herb nuances in the background. Best ever for this wine. Drink now and in the next 5 years. (16)
