87 2001 Blackstone California Merlot 7/29/04 ($10)
A very enjoyable wine with a lot of ripe fruit. Just makes middleweight and not complex, but the blackberry fruit combined with good acidity is very attractive and friendly. A great crowd pleaser at a great price.
