87   2008  Biltmore Estate Chardonnay (North Carolina)  4/10/10 ($15)

      13% alc
Color: Medium yellow. (2.5) Bouquet: Buttered pear and bubble gum with good tart acidity. (3.0) Body: Butter and fruit coat the mouth nicely. Has a  little spritz, but a well balanced middleweight. (2.5) Flavor: Tart pear, pineapple and MacIntosh apple with butter complementing. Very tasty. (3.0) Finish: Parallels flavor, but more tart and lighter with a little bitterness. Fruit is not as forward here, but good acidity allows it to linger. (2.5)
Overall: Very bright, attractive fruit and acidity with subtle buttery oak complementing. A very enjoyable Chardonnay. (13.5)
