Tasting Note

90+   2008  Bethel Heights  Southeast Block  Pinot Noir (Eola-Amity Hills)   12/6/14 ($50)

  13.2% alc
Color: Medium deep black raspberry. (3.0) Bouquet: Minerals, autumn leaves and dried black cherries. (3.0) Body: Solid middleweight with excellent minerality, acidity and fruit. Tangy. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet. (3.0) Finish: Minerality becomes even more intense here with outstanding length. (3.5)
Overall: A Burgundian style, being more about minerality and herbal complexity than fruit. But the dried black cherry fruit is very tasty as well. Excellent now after a 2 hr. decant, but could certainly improve in the next 2-3 years. (15.5)
