100% Sangiovese 13% alc
Color: Medium garnet. (3.0) Bouquet: Stewed cherries, musky/dusty earth, minerals, anise and subtle nut nuances. (3.0) Body: Middleweight with excellent fruit and acidity. Tangy mouthfeel. (3.0) Flavor: Parallels bouquet with sweet fruit. (3.0) Finish: Long, smooth, tangy and spicy. (3.0)
Overall: Not as structured for aging as the '13 Querciabella Chianti Classico I had recently, but just as enjoyable and true to Sangiovese. A great food wine, particularly for warmer weather, but also has enough sweet fruit to be drunk by its self. Outstanding value, half the price of the Querciabella. Drink now and in the next 2 years.
